Marshlight brings Mae West to Sackville stage; plus Mitton says no progress on Wheaton Covered Bridge

On today’s show, we talk with the director of Marshlight Theatre’s newest production, Dirty Blonde, which tells the story of Mae West through the lives of two superfans, and opens this Friday at the studio theatre on Fairfield Road. Patricia Leger talks about the unique way she found the local actors starring in the play, including some experienced actors and some who are new to the stage.

Plus:

  • The Sweetest Little Thing annual art auction fundraiser is underway this week, with a closing gala event slated for Friday.
  • And we get an update on the closed Wheaton Covered Bridge from MLA Megan Mitton, who continues to press the issue with New Brunswick’s Department of Transportation and Infrastructure.
