On today’s show, Strait Shores council has voted to look into installing a permanent power source for a bridge lighting project that was spearheaded by local citizen Jackie Giles this past December. We listen in to the pitch to support the project from Keith Giles, who installed the popular Port Elgin slab bridge lights.
Plus Tantramar councillor Greg Martin will be one of 35 residents of the Beauséjour Riding to receive a King Charles III coronation medal in a ceremony next week. Mayor Andrew Black told council last week that Martin was nominated by the municipality for his “commitment and continued exemplary work to support his community over the years.”
And Mount Allison University is celebrating its 25th number one ranking by Macleans Magazine with a giveaway contest that will give prospective first-year students a chance to win a free ride in the coming school year, with a grand prize valued at over $26,000.
