On the federal campaign trail today Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre held a press conference in St. John’s, Newfoundland.

He promised to enact five recommendations put forward by the country’s energy sector — if his party forms government.

It comes after an open letter from the heads of 14 energy companies calling on party leaders to capitalize on increasing public support for expanding the sector in the face of U-S tariffs.

Later today Poilievre has a rally planned on Prince Edward Island.
