Blooms flower shop is stocked to the brim with greenery, knick knacks, and art.
The shop’s shelves feature work from local crafters and artists, but foot traffic in the store has changed since COVID-19.
To give local artists a chance to showcase and sell their work, Blooms will make use of their entire building in the coming weeks.
Every Saturday starting August 8th, different local artists will make use of the shop’s porch to set up a temporary pop-up.
Blooms team member Olivia McNair is excited to get the porch pop-ups going.
They’re all artists that we’ve approached because they have some ties to Bloom’s in some way. Whether it being past employees like friends of the shop or current employees…so we’re very excited. They’re all based out of Sackville. And they’re all good friends of ours, and we thought it’d be an exciting opportunity for them and of course for us to see their work.
Featured artists include Kaeli Cook, Laura Watson, Rachel Thornton, Vanessa Blackier, and Patrick Allaby.
The artists will be present at their booths to answer questions and sell their projects.
Depending on the success of the first run, the pop-ups may continue into September.
Artists from Sackville and surrounding areas will submit an application to feature their work.
Social distance markers, hand sanitizer, and contactless payment will be provided.
It is recommended that folks wear masks while shopping if they are able.
