After a meeting with Atlantic premiers on Wednesday, Premier Blaine Higgs told reporters the Bubble will be back in about four weeks time, by mid-April.
Higgs told reporters he should be able to announce an exact date for the reopening of the bubble within a day or two.
The premier said that growth in incidence of variants in western and central Canada were top of mind for the Atlantic premiers, inspiring caution.
Higgs told CBC News, “the timing for us is what Public Health is comfortable with. For me it’s not about rushing ahead, it’s about a calculated move forward, so we don’t have to move back again.”
