CHMA Skates for the Sackville Food Bank (February 11)
CHMA, as part of this year’s Winterfest, will be DJing a Food Bank Skate at the Tantramar Veterans Memorial Civic Centre on Sunday, February 11, from 3pm to 4:30pm. Come on out for a fabulous time with some great tunes and bring a non-perishable food item.

Black History Month
It’s Black History Month and we’ve compiled some great music and information that you could use on your shows.

Clinton Davis, Attic Broadcasting board member and Blacklantic host, has another project called BAM (Black Atlantic Musicians). Here’s a great playlist they put together to celebrate and promote Black Atlantic musicians.

We’ll also guide you to the Research section of the New Brunswick Black History Society that has a wealth of information.


and a big “Thank you!” to CHMA Volunteer Extraordinaire Diego Carrillo Cu for recording a series that we’ll be airing starting in February highlighting Black Canadian artists. This is the first of a new format that we’ll be implementing of producing researched and curated shows that we can air through out the year.

Button and Sticker Making with CHMA (February 10)
Stop by the CHMA station on the 3rd floor of the Mount Allison Student Centre, this Saturday, February 10th from 1-3pm, to learn how to design and make your own buttons and stickers! Whether your own business, have a radio show, or want to promote a fun design you created, making buttons and stickers is a great way to showcase what you are passionate about. CHMA staff will be available to show you how to use the button and sticker making materials, available at the CHMA station. As always, CHMA events are fun, free, and open to absolutely everyone.
