Hey CHMA’ers!

Happy Friday everyone! We have a LOT coming up this week (and the next, AND the next), and you do not want to miss out on it! Are you ready????

CHMA will be at the Pop-Market Today! (July 5)

The Sackville Farmers Market is hosting a special Pop-Up today, July 5th from 5-8pm at Bill Johnstone Memorial Park with over 30 vendors. CHMA would also be a part of today’s market, and we can’t wait to meet you! Please do come and say hi!

CHMA Summer Drop-in with Erica Butler (July 6)

As part of the CHMA Summer Drop-in Series, join Erica Butler at the CHMA station on the 3rd floor of the Wallace McCain Student Centre tomorrow, July 6th from 1-3pm for an Interviewer’s Q&A. This will be a casual session aimed to provide insight into the world of local journalism. Bring any questions you might have about local Journalism & Interviewing, CHMA’s role in keeping the community up-to-date, and/or anything regarding Erica’s career in journalism! Open to all ages, and it is free of charge!

CHMA Summer Workshops, Drop-Ins and Kids Camp!!!

Attention CHMA’ers! CHMA is excited to announce Summer Radio Workshops, Drop-Ins and a Kids Summer Radio Camp! We can’t wait to help you get all excited about community broadcasting. This Kids Radio Summer Camp will be from July 22-26, starting at 9:30am. This camp is open for ages 9-14.

Call for 2 full-time Canadian Students: CHMA Board of Directors

Now in it’s 50th year (WOOHOO!), Attic Broadcasting Co. Ltd. is the independent, non-profit organization that is the governing body for CHMA, your favourite campus and community radio station. It’s comprised of 4 MtA students, 2 community members and 1 community member affiliated with MtA.

We are currently still looking to fill 2 of the 4 student positions.

They meet once a month via Zoom. The meetings are generally 1 hour long for staff reports and then questions and comments.

Please note that these positions must be full-time students at MtA (valid for 1 year after the date you’ve paid tuition), 19+ and Canadian citizens.

You can read up more in our By-laws in the About section at chmafm.com.
