Hello lovely CHMA’ers! Let us celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day!:) Today and every day is a time to honour and recognize the rich cultures, heritage, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples in Canada. CHMA broadcasts on the unceded traditional territory of the Mi’kmaq in the Siknikt District. We honour and respect the territory of Mi’kma’ki.
Hope you all were well protected from the heat the last few days! YIKES, it was definitely very hot!!! However, don’t miss out on the ‘hot’ tracks, shows, workshops and events hosted by CHMA!
Call for 2 full-time Canadian Students: CHMA Board of Directors
Now in it’s 50th year (WOOHOO!), Attic Broadcasting Co. Ltd. is the independent, non-profit organization that is the governing body for CHMA, your favourite campus and community radio station. It’s comprised of 4 MtA students, 2 community members and 1 community member affiliated with MtA.
We are currently looking to fill 2 of the 4 student positions.
They meet once a month via Zoom. The meetings are generally 1 hour long for staff reports and then questions and comments.
Please note that these positions must be full-time students at MtA (valid for 1 year after the date you’ve paid tuition), 19+ and Canadian citizens.

CHMA June Drop-In Series: CHMA Open House (June 22)
As part of CHMA’s Spring & Summer Drop-in Series, you can come by the CHMA station on the 3rd floor of the Wallace McCain Student Centre tomorrow, between 1-3pm , to learn about what CHMA has to offer!
Stop by for a tour, for information on how you can get involved with your campus and community radio station, learn how to start your very own radio show or podcast, and how to delve into the exciting world of audio production. This is an excellent opportunity to have fun, get valuable volunteering experience with a non-profit organization, learn valuable transferable skills, and connect with the community. We can’t wait to see you here:)
