Spring and Summer Call for Radio Hosts!!!

There is no better time than now to start volunteering with your campus and community radio station, CHMA. The spring and summer months are quickly approaching and what better way to spend an hour a week than to start your own radio show! Come learn valuable transferable skills, get volunteering experience with a non-profit organization, and hone those vocal techniques, all in a fun, creative, and exploratory environment. Get your application in now before all of the best spots are taken! You can visit chmafm.com/getinvolved and book a time to meet with us for a quick training session and tour! We have plenty of opportunities for passionate people to join the radio magic at CHMA and to help entertain and inform the community. Get involved and start your own radio show today!

Introduction to Podcasting: A CHMA Drop-In Series (March 23)

Are you interested in learning how you can make your very own Podcast? Come learn about how you can book one of our studios at your convenience, how to do proper vocal and recording techniques, how accessible podcast creation is with your local community and campus radio station, CHMA, and how we can help you distribute your podcast to platforms like Spotify. Stop by tomorrow, March 23rd from 1-3pm at the CHMA Station on the 3rd floor of the Mount Allison Student Centre. We are always looking for local personalities and voices to join the volunteers campus and community radio station:)

Show Spotlight! Bluegrass Jam

Day/time: Sundays at 8am

Host: Wilson Moore

Show description: Legendary maritime bluegrass show started in 1977, Wilson has been recognized five times as Broadcaster of the Year by the Downeast Bluegrass and Old Time Music Society and was made a life member of the Society in 1987.  He holds the accreditation of “Master” of the Eastern Canada Bluegrass Music Awards in the category for radio/TV DJ and has received eight special certificates for service in that category.

Wilson has been hosting radio broadcasts for over 40 years and has aired in excess of 1400 Bluegrass Jam Shows,  all of which are strictly volunteer.  His shows are also now being streamed on the internet around the world.
