Concern for chronically ill and preventative care as another doctor closes up shop in Sackville

On today’s show, we talk to a soon-to-be-former patient of Dr. Adrian Kelly, who is closing down his primary care practice in Sackville this month. Baie Verte resident Nancy Oulton says she feels for patients that have chronic or complicated health conditions, and is hoping for an explanation from the Horizon Health Network about why Kelly’s patients won’t be considered for a new Horizon clinic opening in Sackville. Plus in news briefs: Joy-riding is likely behind a recent rash of vehicle thefts, and a motion at Tantramar council next week will call for Tantramar staff to pursue possible funding opportunities for a pedestrian connection across the Trans Canada highway.
