On today’s show, Tantramar council has opted to consider an application for a $180,000 development incentive grant to Mike Wilson’s Right Coast Realty, even though the application came nearly 2.5 years late, contrary to Sackville’s development incentive program guidelines. Councillors weighed in on both sides of the issue at Monday’s committee of the whole meeting, with Councillors Matt Estrabrooks and Michael Tower speaking in favour of awarding the grant, and Councillors Josh Goguen, Debbie Wiggins-Colwell, and Allison Butcher speaking against.

  • Canadian Blood Services is asking 17-35 year olds to get their cheeks swabbed on Monday at Mount Allison, to become part of Canada’s stem cell donor registry.
  • Former Sackville town councillor Ron Corbett has died.
  • Garbage and recycling pick up scheduling will change next week, with the whole municipality shifting to Monday pick up.
