COVID Update: 3 new cases, 18 patients in hospital with 12 in ICU

New Brunswick announced three new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, the lowest daily case count since March 21st. 

None of those new cases are in Zone 1 (Moncton region).

Also, Public Health determined that the seven cases in Zone 1 (which were reported on Monday) are all connected and travel-related.

The three new cases are in Zones 2 (Saint John region, travel-related), 3 (Fredericton region, travel-related), and 4 (Edmunston region, linked to previous confirmed case).

Nine people recovered from the disease, the biggest single-day recovery rate since February. 

New Brunswick has 162 active cases, 12 of which are in Zone 1 (Moncton region). 

18 people are in the hospital, and 12 of those patients are in intensive care units. 

According to the COVID-19 Dashboard, New Brunswick received a total of 42,800 vaccine doses on Tuesday.

The Dashboard says that over 111,000 New Brunswickers have been vaccinated with at least one dose.
