Those 75 and older are already eligible to be vaccinated through their local pharmacy, but the provincial government announced a rule change that will hopefully help with capacities issues.

Regional health authority clinics will now take appointments and vaccinate people who are 75 years old and older.

Horizon and Vitalité have set up clinics all over the province, including one right here in Sackville at the local Civic Centre.

The Town of Sackville announced that the Civic Centre is open for vaccination yesterday.

First responders, people with complex medical conditions, and those 40 and older with three or more chronic conditions are also eligible to book an appointment at a regional health authority clinic.

An appointment can be made by phone at 1-833-437-1424 or online.

The province has administered over 100,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine since they started receiving them.

New Brunswick announced 10 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, including one travel-related case in the Moncton region.

The other nine cases are in the Edmunston region, three are contacts of a previous case and six are categorized as “under investigation” for now.

Four more people recovered from the disease, but four patients are in hospital (including three in the intensive care unit).

New Brunswick has 141 active cases of COVID-19, 13 of which are in the Moncton region.
