The Town of Sackville is sending out a reminder to dog owners to get their dogs registered before April 1st.

Fines for unregistered dogs start at $100 and dogs without a dog tag can also be seized and impounded under the town’s animal control bylaw.

Registration fees are either $20 for adult dogs that have been fixed, or pups under 12 months who have not, or $40 for adult dogs who have not been fixed.

People getting their tags after March 31st also have to pay an extra $20 fee.

Dog tags are available at Town Hall on Main Street, on the second floor.
