Teiya Kasahara 笠原貞野 (they/he) presents “Project T: A Mixtape” – an autoethnographic multidisciplinary document of art and life. For this vibrant and innovative performance, Kasahara will be joined by collaborative pianist Jennie Del Motte.
Teiya Kasahara is a transgender opera singer and interdisciplinary theater creator, with a background of nearly 20 years of performing both traditional and contemporary operatic roles. In his practice, Teiya explores the intersections of identity through reimagining the operatic and classical music canon.

Teiya Kasahara will also be joining MtA voice students for two interactive workshops that will explore and guide the creative process from a joy-centered approach: March 12 at 5:15pm and March 13 at 6:00pm. These workshops are free of charge and all are welcome to attend.
