‘Everybody has the same challenge’: Sackville Food Bank tackling their own turkey drive this year

On today’s show, the Sackville Food Bank is launching a turkey drive after hearing they won’t be receiving their usual supply of turkeys this year. We talk with food bank president Heather Patterson about how the drive is going so far, and what else is needed.

We also head across the border to hear from two of the four candidates for MLA of Cumberland North in the upcoming Nova Scotia election. Nova Scotia Liberal candidate Kurt Ditner and independent candidate Elizabeth Smith-McCrossin talk about what is motivating them in this provincial election.

Plus in briefs, Dr. Ian Sutherland will be installed as Mount Allison’s 16th president and vice-chancellor in a ceremony Friday afternoon featuring alumnus Ian Hanomansing, and Sackville RCMP are distributing a surveillance photo of a person of interest in a theft dating back to September in Sackville.
