Food Recall: Hepatitis A Found in Frozen Mangoes

Have any mangoes in your freezer? They might be contaminated with Hepatitis A.

If you have frozen mangoes from Nature’s Touch, Compliments, Irresistables, or President’s Choice, do not eat them.

Put the mangoes in a plastic bag, throw them out, take them out of your home, and wash your hands immediately. Clean any surface they touched thoroughly, and sanitize them too.

If you’ve eaten mangoes recently and are experiencing symptoms of Hepatitis A, call your medical provider or go to an emergency room as soon as you can.

Hepatitis A is treatable with a vaccine if you catch it within 14 days of being exposed.

Visit the Canadian Food Inspection Agency website for more details.
