The Garnet and Gold society is gearing up to launch their production of Footloose next week, and reporter Sally Cole stopped by rehearsal to hear from director Karen Valanne and cast members Paul Ipe, Anna Greer, and Eden McFadden.

Garnet and Gold is an entirely student run organization, including everything from choreography to lighting to costumes. “It’s so much work to put a huge show like this on,” says Valanne, “and it’s just so exciting when we finally get to share it with the audience.”

Paul Ipe and his fellow cast members feel the same way. “I always go back and talk to [family and friends] after rehearsal and just say how much fun I’ve been having,” he says. “So I’m excited for them to see what I’ve actually been doing.”

Footloose runs from January 23 to 25, and tickets are now available on Eventbrite.
