Nearly 300 people gathered outside Sackville’s main post office yesterday as part of a silent vigil to protest against racism.
The vigil was one of a series of protests across Canada and the U.S. sparked by the killing last week of George Floyd, a black man who died after being pinned to the ground by police in Minneapolis.
CHMA was present and asked participants to express why it was important to attend yesterday’s event. Here are their responses:
