Tonight, Sackville area residents will be asked to weigh in about their experiences in health care at the first of many online consultations to be held in the province over the next two months.

The session takes place on Zoom, starting at 6:30pm, and you can find links on how to join here.

Health department spokesperson Bruce MacFarlane told CHMA by email that tonight’s session will begin with remarks from Premier Blaine Higgs, followed by some comments from the New Brunswick Health Council and the regional health authority.

Participants will then move into facilitated small group discussions, where people can, “talk about the challenges their family faces with receiving care, what they think their community needs and some solutions to the challenges.”

Health Minister Dorothy Shephard will provide closing remarks.

MacFarlane says the meetings have been organized in this way, “to make sure that everyone gets a chance to participate, even those who might not be inclined to speak out in a big crowd.”
