On today’s show: CHMA looks into court records that show two senior municipal leaders brought legal actions against the Minister of Local Government in the wake of amalgamation in Tantramar. Former Sackville CAO Jamie Burke and former and current treasurer Michael Beal both made applications to the province’s Court of King’s Bench asking to have decisions by provincially appointed facilitator Chad Peters quashed, and ultimately seeking to keep their jobs in the new municipality.

Plus in news briefs:

  • Rogers is hosting a public information session about its proposed cell tower for 14 Crescent Street in Sackville on March 18 from 6pm to 7:30pm, at the Tantramar Veterans Memorial Civic Centre.
  • Strait Shores has hired a third party to look into code of conduct complaints against a suspended councillor, and one resident has called for the resignation of remaining councillors over the lack of disclosure about what’s happening.
