How to do a Radio Show with CHMA (A Transcript)

Thanks to one of our excellent volunteers we have a transcript for what a well executed radio show can look like!

“Good Afternoon, Sackville, New Brunswick, you are listening to CHMA 106.9fm, the Voice of the Marshes. I’m Kiko, your afternoon show host. I have a good selection of music here for you today so stick around, this first song is called Either Side, by Loony. Enjoy!

… and that was, Stay With Me (By the Sea), by Al Green and John Legend. That one is from Al Green’s 2008 album, it is pretty old, but it is still a good tune. Next up we are going to mix it up a bit with a local artist, this is Aquakultre from Halifax. This is his tune, Lemongrass, which he did with Uncle Fester. Here we go — enjoy!

… and that was, by Kaytranada, You’re the One, ft. Sid. It is off his 2016 album, 99.9%. He is a pretty up and coming artist and has been on the scene for about ten years now. He’s a Montreal-based producer, but he has been doing a lot of great things. If you enjoyed that last tune you should definitely check him out. Now, this next one coming up is called, Turning Me Up, by BJ The Chicago Kid. He’s also an up and coming artist, he’s been on the scene for about five or six years now — doing lots of R&B and funk stuff. I’ve definitely been enjoying him lately. So I hope you do too. …and that was Orange Crush, by Jake and the Kid. Jake and the Kid is an Indie-Rock band from Regina, Canada. They formed in mid 2020, they’re doing a lot of great things — they just released an album in February. I personally have been really enjoying them lately. They’re a nice mixture of Jazz, R&B, and Folk. They have some pretty cool influences. You should definitely go and check them out if you like that last tune. Next up we have another Canadian artist. This is No Expectations, by the Bahamas. Here we go!

… and that was Amore, by Mariah-Therese. That’s her latest single — it just came out about a month ago. She’s another Canadian artist — she is based out of Toronto. Very up and coming, she just started releasing music in 2020. She has been writing music since she was nine years old though, she is definitely a force to be reckoned with in the up and coming R&B world. I love her voice and that latest single is a really good song; and in honor of that this is another one of her popular tunes, this is off of her EP. This is Wide Eyes by Mariah-Therese and Mileena. Enjoy!
