Preparations for Hurricane Lee: If you haven’t done it yet, ensure you have fuel in vehicles and generators, non-perishable food items including storm chips, lots of fresh water and charged all your devices to FULL battery!!! What does stocking your 72hr emergency kit mean? This means being able to sustain your survival, pending no life threatening emergencies or unforeseen hazards, for a minimum of 72 hours in power outages or blocked road access. Stock up on medications, fresh water, non perishable foods. Remove/secure all outdoor structures. Keep generators away from air intake systems. Clean and prepare your basement for possible flooding, bringing electrical items off the floor. Check for proper function of sump pumps.

72 Hour Emergency Kit Items (optional to read):
Water – 2 Liters per person per day, Manual Can-opener, Battery or crank-powered radio, Prescription medications, Specialty items ie: infant formula, pet food, etc, First aid kit, Flashlight, Candles, matches, or a lighter, Batteries, Cash, Spare keys, Copy of emergency plan and contact info
