On today’s show, wilderness was the inadvertent theme of Tuesday’s Tantramar town council meeting, as three groups made presentations to council about their work protecting and preserving the region’s land and waters. We hear from director of the Fundy Biosphere Region, Jennifer Dingman, who funded the return of Shep the Sandpiper to Dorchester Village Square in 2023. We also hear from Karel Allard of the Canadian Wildlife Service about the planning underway to protect Chignecto Bay in the Inner Bay of Fundy.
Plus in other council news, the municipality will be asking Sackville residents to choose between two designs to replace the Sackville billboard sign on the Trans-Canada Highway, and council gave the thumbs up for ATVs to take part in a Dorchester ATV Parade of Lights on December 4.
