On today’s show, we listen in to some highlights of Tuesday’s candidates forum at the Middle Sackville Baptist Church.

Four out of six candidates showed up to the forum, with Conservative and Green candidates declining the opportunity. Libertarian Donna Allen left the forum after being interrupted with a fact checking comment by the moderator.

In the end, Liberal candidate Dominic LeBlanc, NDP candidate Alex Gagne, and People’s Party candidate Eddie Cornell spent the evening answering 14 different questions from residents on everything from immigration to infrastructure to climate change. A recording of the full forum will be able later today on the CHMA website.

Premier Susan Holt, Health minister John Dornan, and a host of Horizon officials were in town Tuesday to an announce that the Tantramar Primary Health Care Centre will add another 1000 patients to its roster by the end of the year. Holt also said the new clinic would be able to wipe out the region’s current primary care waiting list by spring 2026.
