New Brunswick has three new cases of COVID-19.

Two of those cases are in Zone 3 (Fredericton), and are related to travel.

The last case is in Zone 7 (Miramachi), and is still under investigation.

While the new case numbers are low today, there is an interesting development in Zone 7.

A case of the B117 (or UK) variant was identified in that zone, and there is a long list of exposure notifications.

The province is setting up a mass testing clinic for people without any symptoms of COVID-19 in the coming days.

Nine businesses in Miramachi have been identified as possible areas of exposure over the course of multiple days.

The mass testing will be completed by the end of the week, and will determine if mass spread has occurred.

Stay tuned for the results of those clinics in the coming days.

New Brunswick has 37 active cases of COVID-19, four of which are in Zone 1 (Moncton).
