Memramcook Tantramar MLA Megan Mitton has moved her constituency office to Lorne Street in Sackville.

Mitton’s office had been located at 131 Main Street since 2018. That building was recently the subject of a court case with the Town of Sackville over zoning infractions that had been ignored by owner Gordon Beal. The building is not zoned for residential apartments, though a boarding house is permitted. A judge ordered the eviction of roughly 15 students from 131 Main due to the zoning infraction and the fact that inspectors from the Southeast Regional Planning Commission found safety issues in the apartments.

Mitton’s new constituency office is located in Enterprise Place, at 13A Lorne Street.

The MLA’s moving announcement says she welcomes questions and concerns from constituents.

Phone and virtual meetings can be scheduled by appointment, and in person meetings will happen only when public health guidelines allow.
