On today’s show, in advance of Remembrance Day next Monday, we take a trip back to the unveiling of new memorial banners in September 2023, and hear from family members responsible for honouring some of the region’s veterans.

This year’s Remembrance Day service in Sackville is hosted by the Sackville Legion at Convocation Hall beginning at 10:00am, followed by a parade from Convocation Hall to the Cenotaph for the laying of wreathes and crosses. In Dorchester, the IODE Shepody Chapter has invited people to the Dorchester Cenotaph on Main Street for a ceremony at 10:45am on Monday, November 11.

Plus in news briefs: An inquest into the 2022 death of Dorchester youth Hailey Pierce is underway in Moncton, Nova Scotia RCMP are looking for a man last seen in Sackville, and the Sackville Farmers’ Market will remain at its longstanding winter location in the Sackville Commons on Lorne Street, starting November 16.
