Port Elgin resident, Nancy Bunch is a local maker who has been a vendor at the Sackville Farmer’s Market for two years. Her business, Bunchcrunch Freeze Dried Foods, started as an experiment with the ‘candy mode’ setting on the freeze drier. At the time, she was taking products from her small hobby farm, Faithful Elm Farm, to the Port Elgin Farmer’s Market where she had the opportunity to test the popularity of her freeze dried products.

CHMA reporter, Lara MacMillan, had a chance to sit down and talk with Nancy about the practice of freeze drying and her products, including her collaboration with fellow Sackville Market vendor June of In My Doghouse Treats.
