NB Liquor joins mandatory masks trend

NB Liquor has announced mandatory masks in its corporate stores starting this Thursday, October 8, 2020.

The organization says the move will allow it to increase capacity within its stores, and prevent lineups outside as weather gets colder.

On October 1, all Service NB locations started requiring masks inside.

ANBL says masks are not required for those with breathing difficulties, those under medical advice not to wear a mask, those who can’t put on or remove a mask independently, or those who are deaf or hard of hearing.

On Friday, Premier Blaine Higgs said that a mandatory mask order for all indoor public spaces in New Brunswick is coming, and could be announced as early as this Thursday, October 8.

The town of Sackville has been requiring masks inside all public areas of town buildings since September 4, 2020.
