Black Lives Matter Fredericton launched a new website for educators full of lesson plans and resources, all surrounding Black history in New Brunswick.
Black Lives Matter Fredericton is working to include Black history in New Brunswick schools, but bureaucratic change has a lengthy timeline.
The website was created, according to organizer Husoni Raymond, to provide a short-term solution to the erasure of Black history from public schooling.
The site should be up and running February 1st, so be sure to check it out at blmfnbed.org.
The lesson plans are for grades K through 12, and will be expanded as time goes on, including translation into French.
