‘No Mow May’ is currently underway! Early Spring is a lean period for pollinators, as there’s not many food sources available yet. Let your lawn grow during the month of May, and provide food for bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. A modest reduction in lawn mowing frequency can bring a host of environmental benefits such as increased pollinators, increased plant diversity and reduced greenhouse gas emissions. A longer, healthier lawn also makes it more resistant to pests, weeds, and drought events. Accept this challenge and help save our environment with ‘No Mow May’!
