Sackville town council convened last night online and went immediately ‘in camera’ to discuss a human resources matter.
HR consultant Jeff Forbes, of KBRS Consulting was in attendance at the meeting.
KBRS is a Halifax-based HR firm that was hired to conduct the recruitment process for the town’s CAO position in the spring.
That work concluded on April 7, 2020, and Jamie Burke was hired, leaving his former position of Senior Manager of Corporate Projects vacant.
That job was posted over the summer and received over 90 applicants.
There was no public resolution made after the in camera meeting Monday night.
Council meets next on October 5, 2020 for a discussion meeting, and then on October 13, 2020 for its regular meeting.
