Nova Scotia border protocols “not changing at this time”

Nova Scotia says it is not yet planning to lift border controls to match New Brunswick.

Premier Blaine Higgs announced on Friday that New Brunswick would suspend the screening of travellers entering New Brunwick from PEI and Nova Scotia.

The change will be in effect as of Thursday, October 8th.

But Nova Scotia provincial spokesperson Marla McInnnis told CHMA that the province’s “border protocols are not changing at this time.”

That means people travelling back and forth between Sackville and Amherst will still pass through the Nova Scotia checkpoint.
