One8tea is changing the East Coast of Canada’s Hip-Hop scene for the better

With his latest album ‘Ventilation 2’ coming off a 2022 ECMA victory for ‘Hip Hop Recording of the Year’, One8tea is quickly becoming one of the most essential artists on the east coast. In 2021, One8tea won the Music New Brunswick award for Song of the Year, becoming the first black person to ever win an MNB award, since its inception in 2010. He has fought adversity his entire life to reach this moment, as he uses his experiences to inspire others through his music, ministry services, public speaking, and more.

Joe Hubley sat down with the Moncton-based rapper for an interview about his exceptional life journey, finding his voice in Hip-Hop through religion, and so much more. Hear it all in this CHMA exclusive interview.
