On today’s show, we talk with Tantramar MLA Megan Mitton about her reactions to Tuesday’s Throne Speech which outlined plans of the new Liberal government under Premier Susan Holt.
Mitton says she will continue to focus on health care, affordability and infrastructure concerns, and has a meeting scheduled next week with new minister for the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure, Chuck Chiasson to talk about the Wheaton Bridge, Route 955, and the Chignecto Isthmus. She also addresses concerns about local availability of vaccines in Tantramar, and the news that the provincial government will be launching a public health investigation into unexplained neurological disease reported in the province.
Plus in news briefs, Tantramar is asking resident to vote for one of two designs for a new Sackville highway sign, council meets tomorrow to hear about a proposed capital budget, and the regional service commission aims to gather tourism stakeholders in Sackville on Thursday.
