Sackville emergency closed overnight, Saturday to Sunday

Due to a temporary nursing shortage, the Emergency Department at the Sackville Memorial Hospital will close overnight tonight, from 9pm, Saturday, June 5 to 8am, Sunday, June 6, says Horizon Health Network.

A release late this afternoon from Horizon says, “the Emergency Department will not be seeing patients and clients during this night shift and ambulances will be diverted to other hospitals. All patients and clients requiring urgent medical care will need to seek treatment at another hospital.”

Horizon apologized for the inconvenience the temporary closure may cause, and says they are “committed to ensuring safe and quality care for our patients and clients.”
