Sackville Film Society organizer Thaddeus Holownia confirmed that screenings will continue starting this Thursday at 7:30PM.

The film society went on hiatus during the recent red and orange phases of COVID-19 restrictions out of concern for its members, who are mostly older people.

Holownia promised in a previous interview that the schedule would get back on track when the province returned to the yellow phase, which the provincial government approved to start today at 12:01AM this morning.

The screenings will pick up where they left off with James D’Arcy’s “Made in Italy,” and continue with the remaining films on the original schedule with showings on Thursdays and Saturdays.

After that, Holownia is considering a mini-series of six films “if there’s enough people interested.”

COVID-19 protocols are still in place during the yellow phase, including the collection of contact information, physical distancing, and wearing a mask.

Screenings are limited to patrons who purchased season tickets, so there will be no tickets available at the box office.
