Masks will be required inside Service New Brunswick buildings starting October 1, 2020.

In a release, the province says the move will allow more people inside, as the social distancing rule with continuous mask-wearing is reduced to one metre only.

The province says that there are fewer people in lineups as compared to last year, but due to social distancing rules, many people have had to wait outside of Service New Brunswick Centres.

With colder weather coming, Service New Brunswick decided to enforce the mandatory mask rule to allow more people to wait inside.
