This is the last week for candidates to be nominated for municipal, school district and health authority elections. The deadline to submit nomination paperwork is Friday April 9 at 2pm.

So far, Elections NB lists two candidates for mayor in the town of Sackville, Shawn Mesheau and Ron Aiken.

There are four candidates listed for councillor: two sitting councillors, Andrew Black and Bill Evans, and two new candidates, Sabine Dietz and Matt Estabrooks.

There are eight seats on council. If eight or fewer candidates are nominated, then those seats will be filled by acclamation.
