Southeast NB COVID-19 Update

After a few days with low new daily case numbers in Zone 1, the southeast, New Brunswick Public Health reported 11 new cases in Zone 1 yesterday.

Province-wide there were 27 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday. 14 cases were in the Edmundston region, and 2 cases were in the Saint John region.

With 41 people recovering from the disease, the provincial active case count for COVID-19 dropped to 313 yesterday. There are 77 people in Zone 1 with active cases of the disease.

There are now 4 people hospitalized with COVID-19 in the province, and two of those are in Intensive Care.

Just over 2200 tests were completed in New Brunswick on Thursday, with 666 of those in Zone 1.

Over in Nova Scotia, no new cases of COVID-19 were reported on Thursday, and the province now has only 11 active cases of the disease.

PEI reported one new travel-related case yesterday, and has a total of 6 people with active cases of COVID-19.

Newfoundland and Labrador reported four new cases yesterday, and has nine active cases of the disease.

Quebec reported over 1300 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, and Maine reported 284 new cases.
