Stats Can surveys discrimination in COVID

The government of Canada wants to know if you’ve experienced discrimination more or less during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Statistics Canada is asking people to fill out a voluntary online survey by August 24th.

The questionnaire will ask if you have experienced discrimination based on race, sex, gender identity or expression, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, age, disability or language—and whether this has changed during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Stats Canada is also asking how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted your confidence and trust in various institutions, the general public, and your neighbours.

The collected data will help document how discrimination during the pandemic has impacted certain groups.
