CHMA, in partnership with Mount Allison University, is very excited to announce that we are again able to offer two paid internship to students attending Mount Allison University.

1) Independent Media Internship
CHMA plays an essential role in local news and independent culture at Mount Allison University and in the Tantramar, NB Area. We are offering this internship to help you gain exciting, hands-on, real-world experience working in broadcast media, audio production, research, content creation, and the operations of a non-profit arts organization. The successful applicants will work with CHMA staff to develop a program or series of projects to equally develop the applicants area of interest as well as contribute to CHMA’s programming and broadcast.

This position is open to current, full-time, returning students of Mount Allison University. The applicant must be a Canadian citizen.

~You will work with the Executive Director of Attic Broadcasting to develop a project for the duration of your internship that contributes to both your own interest and those of Attic Broadcasting. This project will be determined at the beginning of the Internship and a final summary report submitted on completion.

~You will play an integral role in the day-to-day functions of CHMA in our collaborative work environment.

~You are invited to contribute to programming, audio production, broadcasting, and journalism through both our on-air broadcasting and online platforms. 

~You agree to produce content each week that contributes to our on-air broadcast and/or online distribution platforms.

~You will be expected to attend our weekly staff meetings and our monthly board meetings.

~As a Intern, you will work with our staff and volunteers to further our mandate of informing and entertaining our community to meet the diverse needs of the communities of Westmoreland and Cumberland counties, NB & NS.

~ This is a paid position of $17/hr with an expected work week of 10 hours for 24 weeks.

This position is made available by the Office of Experiential Learning & Career Development, Mount Allison University and CHMA, Attic Broadcasting.
