Horizon Health Network issued a public service announcement Thursday asking the public to keep non-urgent medical issues out of emergency rooms this holiday weekend. Also: the Friday and Saturday weekend closures of the Sackville hospital emergency room will not be extended through the New Brunswick Day holiday. So when the ER reopens Sunday morning, it will remain open throughout the holiday Monday and the rest of the week.
