Last week, Tantramar Mayor Andrew Black proclaimed April 22, 2025 as Earth Day in Tantramar, and a group of local residents were there for the occasion. The mayor also pledged the municipality’s support “for the actions of Seniors for Climate Action Now Tantramar in raising awareness of the climate crisis.” The new group, formed earlier this year as a chapter of the wider Seniors for Climate movement, has been working with other chapters across the province to organize an Earth Day rally on April 22.

But before they head off to the provincial capital, Seniors for Climate Action Now Tantramar (SCAN-T) is hosting a screening of the film Later is Too Late, filmed last October as the Seniors for Climate movement celebrated its first national day of action on the climate crisis.

The screening is happening Monday, April 14 at 7pm at the Sackville Visitor Information Centre.  Organizers say admission is free, all are welcome and Café Tintamarre will be open for refreshments.
