The Greens go live online to talk living wage and basic income

With people isolated in their homes during the COVID19 pandemic, the provincial Green Party took to Facebook on Tuesday night as a way of reaching out to New Brunswickers.

Green Party leader David Coon and his two fellow members of the legislature, Megan Mitton and Kevin Arseneau discussed a wide-range of issues during their one-hour political panel on Facebook.

Among other things, they called for a Guaranteed Liveable Income to alleviate poverty and they also discussed the need to make sure that people who produce local food earn a living wage.
