Town hall session to share info on public health and safety in Sackville

If you’ve had questions about the public health and safety protocols surrounding the pandemic in Sackville, you might get some answers on Monday evening.

The Tantramar COVID-19 Task Force is hosting a town hall session featuring panelists who will share information on public health and safety plans afoot in the region.

The Task Force announcement says the group has “heard concerns about the return of Mount Allison students during the pandemic and wanted to gather the community together to have panelists communicate plans and address concerns from residents and students.”

The Town Hall will be held Monday, August 31 at 7 pm, and available online via pre-registered webinar and also live on CHMA.

Panelists will include:
Dr. Jean-Paul Boudreau, Mount Allison President,
Gloria Jollymore, MtA Vice-President of University Advancement,
Jon Ferguson, President of the Mount Allison Students’ Union Jon Ferguson,
Sydney Thorburn, Vice President of External Affairs, Mount Allison Students’ Union,
John Higham, Sackville Mayor,
Jamie Burke, CAO for town of Sackville,
John Lafford, Sackville business owner,
and Pat Estabrooks a community volunteer with the Task Force.

Residents are invited to submit questions or concerns to be addressed by the panel, either by phone, email or during the registration process for attending the online webinar.
