The overnight parking ban is back
Sackville’s overnight parking ban will come into effect tonight. Residents are not permitted to park on municipal streets or parking lots between 1am and 6 am daily throughout the winter months.
Live Bait brings the holiday hilarity
Live Bait Theatre has some holiday entertainment opening tomorrow night. A dinner theatre featuring “Grandma’s Coming Out For Christmas” plays at the Sackville legion from December 1st to 4th, and December 8th to 11th. The play is billed as another “hilarious original musical play written and directed by Charlie Rhindress.” Seating capacity is reduced, and all attendees must be double vaccinated. Public dialogue on future of Memramcook River
The Sentinelles Petitcodiac Riverkeeper is hosting a public dialogue about the future of the Memramcook river this Wednesday evening from 6 to 8pm online. The Riverkeepers have been researching the possibility of removing the road bridge in Memramcook, and on Wednesday, will share information about the community’s concerns, including flooding risks for the region. The Riverkeepers are also hosting an event this afternoon, looking at the eco-tourism and economic development opportunities for the communities around the Memramcook and Petitcodiac Rivers. That’s happening today from 1-3pm, also online.
Coastal resilience workshop Wednesday
Another online event on Wednesday is looking at the challenges of shoreline ecosystems in the age of climate change and sea level rise. The Chignecto Climate Change Collaborative is bringing DG Blair from the Stewardship Centre of British Columbia to talk about Green Shores, a tool for coastal resilience.
