Where and when to vote

The government of New Brunswick announced the launch of the Vote Early, Vote Safely campaign yesterday.

The multimedia campaign is run by elections New Brunswick and will use various forms of digital and distance outreach to promote safe voting during COVID-19.

Chief electoral officer Kim Poffenroth says that the aim of the campaign is to help reduce potential of lineups at polling stations on election day. Poffenroth strongly encourages voters to take advantage of voting early.

Voters can cast their ballots by mail, advance voting at polling stations, and at their local returning office.

Sackville’s returning office is located at unit two, 3 Fairfield Road and is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 7pm, and Saturday from 10am to 5pm. The office is closed on Sundays. Residents can vote there anytime before the election.

An advanced polling stations will be opened on September 5 and 8 at the Middle Sackville Baptist Church.

On election day, voters can go to the polling station at the Tantramar Civic Centre, September 14th from 10am to 8pm.
